UK – Recruitment firm owner jailed for cocaine dealing (Portsmouth News)

A recruitment agency owner caught with £14,500 worth of cocaine in his desk drawer has been jailed, reports Portsmouth News. Portsmouth Crown Court heard Dutch national Pieter van Oorschot was stopped by police in Portsmouth while driving a Mercedes. Van Oorschot had four small packets of cocaine on him and two mobile phones, one with messages revealing he was involved in street dealing. Van Oorschot was the owner and director of NRS Recruitment. According to records from Companies House, the company was dissolved in July 2019. When police searched his office at Challenge Enterprise Centre in Sharps Close, Copnor, a judge said they were ‘startled’ to find a huge lump of cocaine. Van Oorschot also admitted fraud in relation to doctoring a job applicant’s documents, the court heard. He admitted possession with intent to supply class A and fraud and was jailed for two years and nine months.
