Ashford-based recruitment firm HR GO has merged with AC Appointments, a recruitment firm established in Hertfordshire.

No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.

HR GO Recruitment is part of the HR GO Group of companies founded in 1957.

AC Appointments was founded in 1966 in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire and was acquired by Jonathan and Jane Walters in 1986. The company will now be known as HR GO Recruitment. The merger increases the combined number of staff at the HR GO branch in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, to nine.

Jonathan and Jane Walters said it was the right time to move their operations to HR GO.  “We have been proud to be an independent recruitment agency serving the area for many decades,” they said in a statement. “We wanted to join an equally independent family business with the benefit of greater resources and latest technology.
