UK – Prime People reports revenue and net fee income up

UK-based recruiter Prime People (PRP: AIM) reported group revenue increased by 12.5% to £11.48 million for the six months ending 30 September 2016. The company also reported net fee income growth of 1.87% to £6.33 million compared to last year.

The company stated that the first half of the financial year showed strong NFI performances in its Hong Kong and Singapore business units. In Asia NFI increased by 36.84% from £1.90m to £2.60m and in the UK Net Fee Income decreased by 12.82% from £3.90m to £3.40m.

Robert Macdonald, Executive Chairman of Prime People, commented: “We have reasonable expectations that the UK businesses will perform in the second half year at levels comparable to the first half. Sentiment in the UK property sector has improved but there is uncertainty for the sector in the medium term. In Asia we expect similar performance from our businesses in the second half and increased opportunities for growth in the medium and long term.”

“The present focus for the group is to maximize the returns from recent investment in businesses and people and to increase the productivity of the business. We continue to recruit new heads into those markets where there is potential for Net Fee Income and profit growth.”

In trading today, Prime People PLC traded at £90.00, down 7.69% on the day and 11.80% above the 52 week low of 80.50 set on 6 October 2016. Based on its current share price the company has a market value of £11.97 million.
