UK – Nakama Group appoints new CEO

30 January 2018

UK-based specialist recruitment services provider Nakama Group (NAM: AIM) announced that it has appointed non-executive Director Andrea Williams as Chief Executive with immediate effect.

The group also announced that it has appointed Non-Executive Director Tim Sheffield as non-executive chairman with immediate effect.

Last September, former Chief Executive Rob Sheffield, a founding partner at the recruitment agency, resigned, and CFO Angus Watson stepped in as interim CEO. Watson will revert to his position as CFO.

Andrea Williams has worked in the recruitment sector for more than 20 years in the UK, Asia and Australia. She has worked with the Ambition Group, Mastech in Australia, Michael Page, Outsource UK and Big Pen Advisors and Consultants. She has also been a Board member at Career Ready UK at Haverstock School.

Sheffield, who replaces Ken Ford as Nakama's non-executive chairman, is currently chairman of Sheffield Haworth Ltd., an executive search and talent advisory group that he founded in 1993.
