UK – Jarvis is latest casualty at HCL

Healthcare Locums Plc (HLO:LSE), the beleaguered specialist health and social care staffing firm has registered another casualty of the alleged 'accounting irregularities', which were announced in January.

At the time, the company suspended its Executive Vice-Chairman, Kate Bleasdale, Finance Director Diane Jarvis as well as the trading of its shares.

Bleasdale was later dismissed.

Yesterday the board announced that it "has accepted the resignation of Diane Jarvis as Chief Financial Officer of the company with immediate effect. Ms Jarvis' employment by the company has also ceased with immediate effect."
 
"Ms Jarvis' resignation follows an investigation by the company into financial irregularities that occurred during her tenure as Chief Financial Officer and for which she has accepted responsibility."

Jarvis qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young in 1988. She
had been CFO of HCL since January 2005 following stints as Group Accountant at Courtauld's Plc,  Financial Controller at Match Group, and Finance Director for both Crown Sports Plc and Medicentre.

According to the Company's website, Jarvis holds 64,273 shares in HCL which are currently suspended from trading on AIM, during the ongoing accounting investigation, at a price of 112.50p.
