UK recruitment firm Hydrogen Group PLC announced that Chief Financial Officer, Colin Adams, plans to step down from the board to pursue other interests, after just over a year.

Hydrogen said Adams would remain on the board until the company's 2016 earnings, which is expected next March, whereupon it expects to have found his replacement.

Adams joined Hydrogen and the board in May 2015, and is credited with re-building the finance team and returning the company to profitable growth in the first half of the year.

Before joining Hydrogen, Adams served as Group Finance Director of Huntsworth plc, an international healthcare communications and public relations company and as Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer of independent publishing house Quercus Publishing plc.
