UK – Educate Resourcing acquires Educate Teacher Training

14 February 2018

Welsh staffing firm Educate Resourcing has acquired Lincolnshire-based Educate Teacher Training.

Educate Resourcing, based in Wrexham and operating in North Wales and the North West of England, provides teaching and support staff to Primary, Secondary and Tertiary education, bespoke alternative curriculum courses and specialised personal tuition. The company was founded in 2017 by education professionals Mark Jones, Dave Norman and Nick Edwards, and is backed by Gary Dewhurst, founder of Gap Personnel.

The group stated that its acquisition of Educate Teacher Training will enable the group to enter the teacher training market and increase the opportunities to apply its specialist teaching packages.

Educate Teacher Training offers training in primary education, a range of secondary education subjects and the National College for Teaching and Leadership’s (NCTL) Qualified Teaching Status standard.

The businesses will come together under the banner of the Educate Resourcing Group of Companies.

The acquisition is part of Educate Resourcing’s growth strategy with plans to expand into South East England, and to develop its existing provision along the North Wales coast. The company also aims to support overseas students with teacher training and employment opportunities as well as establishing relationships with a number of UK universities.

“The addition of a teacher training provision will open new opportunities for the business in our existing locations, but importantly enable us to offer our alternative curriculum and tuition services to the Lincolnshire area and support the education of a growing number of young people,” Mark Jones, Director of Educate Resourcing, said.

Julie Kitchen from Educate Teacher Training, also commented, “There are strong synergies between the two businesses, which we can build on, along with complementary services that can add value to our offerings to the education sector.  This deal will provide an important springboard for our business and we look forward to being part of the Educate Resourcing Group of Companies.”

No further financial details of the transaction were announced.
