A UK tribunal will determine the employment status of Deliveroo riders in a case that could affect the rights of workers in the gig economy, reports the Telegraph. The case is being brought by the Independent Workers of Great Britain (IWGB) union, which claimed that Deliveroo "bogusly" labels its riders as independent contractors.
