UK – DRC Locums merges with HCIG

04 July 2014

DRC Locums, a provider of medical staff to both the public and private sectors across the UK, has merged with HCIG (Human Capital Investment Group) in a move that will continue to strengthen its presence in the Health and Social Care Sector.

DRC is an approved staffing supplier to the NHS and currently hold over 100 service level agreements (SLAs) with individual Trusts, as well as inclusion on a number of staffing frameworks across England.

The company, which operates out of a hub in Milton Keynes, has 80 members of staff. The company will continue to be led by its CEO Jason Stewart, a chartered accountant who has worked in listed and private recruitment companies for over 15 years and brings significant healthcare experience to the group.

Mr Stewart stated: “DRC has experienced strong growth over the past two years and expanded the service offering into the temporary nursing marketplace. By joining HCIG, DRC will further leverage our specialist service offerings into the healthcare sector using the platform of a much larger organisation. We have had a long and successful partnership with HCIG and are delighted to become an integral member of the group.”

HCIG CEO Tim Cook added: “The merger with DRC strengthens the presence of HCIG companies in the Healthcare sector and forms a part of the group's expansion, which has included four start-ups in recent months. As a leading recruiter of locum doctors and healthcare professionals, DRC will bring a wealth of experience and talented people into the group.”

This move will see the total head count at HCIG reach circa 600 and the combined turnover of the Group rise to nearly £300 million per annum, which could place it in the top 25 recruitment companies in the UK. The company owns a number of specialist staffing brands operating across a number of sectors; including Eden Brown, Resourcing Group, Synergy Group and Caritas.
