Staffline, the UK-based staffing and employability organisation, announced today that its PeoplePlus division has secured contracts in the latest round of prison education tenders worth a total of £104.6 million over a four-year period.

At the group’s interim results, the group’s management set a target to double Staffline’s share of the Prison Education market from 10% to 20%, and following the latest round of allocations, Staffline will have a 25% share and will operate in 22 prisons across the UK. In this latest procurement process the group will also retain all of its existing contracts as well as adding significant further delivery.

Staffline has recently made a number of acquisitions. In July 2018 the group acquired Grafton Recruitment’s Irish business. Also during the same month, Staffline announced that it had completed its acquisition of LDA, a UK-based Apprenticeship Levy provider from Learndirect Apprenticeships Limited. In March 2018, Staffline announced that it completed the acquisition of Endeavour Group Limited ("Endeavour") and its subsidiary Vital Recruitment Limited. On 1 October 2018, the group announced that it had acquired Passionate About People, which comprises two companies: Omega Resource Group Limited, a UK provider of blue-collar, flexible, staffing solutions to the aerospace, automotive, construction, energy, logistics and manufacturing sectors, and Datum RPO Limited, a provider of recruitment process outsourcing solutions to blue-chip clients.
