UK – Contract Watch: Sopra Steria appointed to Crown Commercial Framework

28 August 2019

Sopra Steria Recruitment, owned by Resource Solutions Group, announced that it has been awarded a place on Crown Commercial Service’s framework to provide temporary and fixed term staff to NHS contracting authorities along with various other UK public sector bodies.

This framework was launched as a collaborative effort by Crown Commercial Service and NHS Procurement in Partnership, working together as the Workforce Alliance.

The Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.

Under the framework agreement, titled RM6160 Non Clinical Temporary and Fixed Term Staff, Sopra Steria Recruitment will supply talent through two Lots: Lot 2 - Corporate and Lot 3 - IT. These services cover the identification, attraction and assessment of temporary or fixed-term candidates.

According to Sopra Steria Recruitment, the agreement followed a competitive procurement exercise which scrutinised the capability of multiple bidders vying to become framework suppliers across diverse roles and disciplines.

Karen Alexander, Managing Director of Sopra Steria Recruitment, commented, “We are thrilled that Crown Commercial Service has selected Sopra Steria Recruitment as a supplier to provide recruitment services across the public sector. We have historically been known as an organisation which excels in the provision of contract and fixed-term professionals, and this win underlines not only our strength of delivery to existing public sector clients, but also our capability to supply high-volumes of permanent talent. We are honoured to be in a position to help the public sector achieve commercial value, and we know we have the experience, expertise and passion of to achieve this.”

Last month, Sopra Steria Recruitment announced that it completed the sale of its business in the UK to Resource Solutions Group’s subsidiary Sanderson Recruitment.
