The head of the UK' business group the Confederation of Business Industry has said most bosses "secretly" want all of their staff to return to working in offices. According to the BBC, Tony Danker, director-general of the CBI, said the ‘whole world of work’ had ‘gone crazy’ since the pandemic. Speaking on the BBC's Political Thinking with Nick Robinson, Danker said had ‘no idea’ where working patterns were ‘going to land’. "You ask most bosses, everybody secretly wants everyone to come back into the office," Danker said. "I just don't think that's going to happen overnight. I think we are all coping with this, but we're going to be talking about this for a few years,” Danker added.

Many companies have changed policies on remote working since Covid-19 restrictions eased, with staff offered the chance to work from home and offices.
