31 May 2013

Assist Recruitment has acquired its Manchester rival Top Gear Recruitment in a move expected to boost annual revenue to £60 million. Top Gear, founded in 1999, offers recruitment services across the UK with a strong presence in the North of England.

The firm said that the new deal will strengthen its service offering for supply chain, production and manufacturing sectors. Kevin Chute, Managing Director of Assist Recruitment, said the acquisition strengthens the firm’s position in the recruitment market, especially in the industrial sectors.

“As well as increasing our capability in complementary services such as driving, Top Gear bring a first class client portfolio with whom we believe we can grow with significantly as they benefit from Assist’s expertise in process efficiency and innovation,” he said.

“We look forward to welcoming the team from Top Gear. Their dedication to exceptional customer service fits well with Assist’s commitment to developing long term client relationships based on market leading expertise, first class delivery, and straightforward, honest communication.”
