Switzerland – Michael Page Swiss Job Index shows uptick in job ads in August

The number of jobs advertised throughout Switzerland, between July and August 2017, increased by 2.3% across Switzerland according to the Michael Page Swiss Job Index.

Michael Page states the 2.3% growth is one of the highest growth rates for this period since the Index began in 2012 and compares with the average of +0.06% (for the July-August months).

Meanwhile, the German-speaking region accounted for 9 out of 10 advertised jobs and grew by 3.1% compared with the Swiss Romandy region which declined by 2.1%.

Year-to-date (January – August 2017) growth in advertised jobs across Switzerland was 10.9%.

The North region recorded both the highest monthly (5.4%) and year-to-date (16.0%) regional growth in advertised jobs.
