The number of advertised throughout Switzerland grew by 15.2% in July 2018, year-on-year, according to the Michael Page Swiss Job Index. Monthly growth across Switzerland stood at 1.1%.
Swiss Romande led monthly growth with an increase of 5.8% while job vacancies increased by 0.4% in German-speaking Switzerland during the same period.

Nicolai Mikkelsen, Executive Director, Michael Page, commented, “Demand exceeds the supply of qualified candidates in many fields but especially in audit, health and life sciences as well as IT. As candidates are receiving multiple offers in these and other technical fields, employers must accelerate their recruitment processes, or risk losing out to competitors.”
The Lake Geneva region showed the highest growth rate with 8.7% monthly growth and a 21.8% year-on-year growth in July 2019.
