Switzerland – Michael Page Swiss Job Index records 10.2% increase in job ads for June

The Michael Page Swiss Job Index recorded an increased in advertised jobs of 10.2% in June 2018 when compared to the same period last year.

The 10.2% increase was ahead of the average growth over the last three years of 8.9%, for the same period.

Across Switzerland monthly growth was 2.2% in June with the Swiss Romande region leading the growth in advertised jobs with a monthly growth of 6.6%.

“We’ve seen significant growth in the first half of 2018”, Nicolai Mikkelsen, Executive Director, Michael Page, said. “Demand is especially strong for technical specialists across all functions including transport and logistics, IT, banking and financial control functions”.

The Lake Geneva region (GE, VD, VS) recorded the biggest monthly and year-on-year growth with 6.6% and 13.1%, respectively.
