First-quarter net sales at NGS Group AB (NGS: SS) rose 5.6% from the year-ago quarter. However, the Stockholm, Sweden-based healthcare and education staffing firm reported operating profit fell 23.3%.

The company reported growth came from its nursing business and Source, a company it acquired in June 2017.
NGS reported results on Thursday, and shares in the company closed down 7.4% to SEK 38.80 that day. The company had a market cap of SEK 357.8 million.
