Swedish recruitment services firm Hedera Group announced that it signed an agreement to acquire Assistanspoolen (Assistance Pool), a personal assistance care company based in Sweden.

The purchase price amounts to SEK 20 million (€1.8 million) and the acquisition will be financed with a rights issue of SEK 15 million and a directed issue of SEK 15 million (€1.4 million) at a price of SEK 8.50 (€0.80). The group said these issues should make it possible to carry out further acquisitions during the year.

One of the principal owners of Assistanspoolen Christer Ryder, will stay in the company and will become Deputy CEO of Hedera Group AB with responsibility for expanding the business area.

“It is with great pride and joy that the Assistanspoolen becomes part of the Hedera Group,” Ryder said. “We will continue to operate the Assistanspoolen with maintained quality. With the merger, we will be able to meet the demand of our services for more users in other locations.”

Hedera Chairman of the Board Bertil Haglund commented, “The Hedera Group is added to a new and exciting business area in healthcareand care sector and is expanding its current operations in the sector.”
