Sweden – Hedera Group CEO resigns

20 May 2019

Swedish recruitment services firm Hedera Group announced that CEO Maria Nordin has resigned from her role.

Nordin will remain as the CEO until a new successor is appointed, however, the group added that this will be no later than 15 November 2019.

According to Hedera Group, Nordin decided to terminate her position as CEO of Hedera Group for personal reasons.

She took office on 4 May 2018 and successfully integrated three acquisitions in 2018. The company added that she reorganised the business towards clearer goals and increased sales focus.

“I choose to resign as CEO of Hedera Group AB as my personal situation makes it difficult to add the energy and power needed to continue developing the group,” Nordin said. “I have full confidence in the board and will in the best way take responsibility for the transition to my successor.”

“Now we immediately start a recruitment process to appoint a new CEO,” Hedera Group Chairman Bertil Haglund, said. “I have appreciated Maria’s leadership style, ability to listen and the way she handles all important issues. I and the entire board have also appreciated her personal qualities, but have understanding and respect for her decision.”

Hedera Group reported revenue on 7 May 2019 for the first quarter ended 31 March 2019 of SEK 43.4 million (€4.0 million), an increase of 3.3% compared to last year.
