Spain – Temporary employment agencies set to generate 4% more contracts in the winter season than last year

09 November 2018

Temporary employment agencies in Spain will generate over one million contracts in the winter season, 4% more than in the same period last year, according to estimates by Asempleo, the Association of Employment Agencies and Temporary Employment.

Workers in the logistics sector as well as distribution (packers and transporters) are expected to see the highest demand for temporary agency workers. Administrative staff and customer service sectors are also set to generate temporary employment contracts.

Employers expect the commerce and distribution sectors will account for approximately 40% of the total contracts made during the winter season period due to the seasonal rebound in sales and the increase in domestic tourists.

The season is expected to begin on Black Friday in November and will last through Christmas.
