Romania – eJobs reports revenue increase in FY 2022 driven by job ads growth (Economedia)

10 May 2023

Romanian job board eJobs reported turnover of almost €15 million in FY 2022, an increase of approximately 50% compared to 2021, reports Economedia. The group saw 420,000 jobs posted on the platform in FY 2022. The main growth drivers for 2022 were traditional job ads and digital recruitment campaigns. The latter generated 5% of the annual turnover, with the plan for 2023 being to double this percentage. The group said that for 2023, the target is to exceed the €15 million turnover threshold, both from the core business activity (traditional recruitment ads) and from the adjacent lines including: digital recruitment campaigns, employer branding, content marketing, and through Skilld, the AI rapid recruitment service owned by eJobs.

Bogdan Badea, CEO eJobs Romania said there was an average of 35,000 new jobs every month posted on the job board. “For these, there were around one million monthly applications. The market was therefore extremely active, with many opportunities and very bold plans from employers. Let's not forget that it was a year in which salaries also increased, on the one hand, because the financial results of the companies allowed these increases, on the other hand, because inflation imposed salary adjustments,” Badea said.
