03 October 2023

Randstad nv, the world’s largest staffing firm, announced changes to its executive leadership team.

Randstad named Jesus Echevarria as chief talent and client delivery officer. Echevarria joined the company in 2002 and most recently was CEO of Randstad Iberia and Latin America.

Marc-Etienne Julien has been appointed chief executive of North America. He brings over 20 years’ experience in the North American market. He joined Randstad in 2001 and was most recently chief talent officer, and prior to that CEO of Canada.

The executive who previously served as chief executive of North America, Traci Fiatte, is leaving Randstad to pursue other interests. Fiatte had joined Randstad in 2007 as part of Randstad’s acquisition of Dutch rival Vedior. She had previously served as EVP for shared services at Vedior and VP of national accounts for Vedior’s IT staffing brand, Sapphire Technologies. She will work with Julien to ensure a seamless transition over the coming period, according to the company.

In addition, Dominique Hermans has added the responsibility for group strategy to her portfolio as chief executive of Northern Europe. Hermans joined Randstad 22 years ago. Her roles at the company have included regional manager and chief operations officer of Belgium and most recently as CEO of Randstad Group Netherlands. She was appointed as chief executive of Northern Europe in January 2023.

Lastly, Randstad named Miriam van der Heijden as chief marketing officer and is responsible for developing and executing an industry-leading marketing and brand strategy for the company. She was previously Vice President Marketing for ManpowerGroup in the Netherlands.

CEO Sander van ‘t Noordende, said, “Our people are our foundation and we focus on ensuring our strong culture, values, and spirit of entrepreneurship are present at all levels of the organisation. We are fortunate to have exceptional home-grown talent, who live our values and bring proven track records of delivering for our talent and clients.”

“I have nothing but confidence in Marc-Etienne as he takes the reins of our biggest market, as well as in Jesus and Dominique as they expand their strategic leadership. I would like to warmly welcome Miriam to the company, and express my gratitude to Traci Fiatte for her many contributions to Randstad,” van ‘t Noordende said.
