International HR consultancy Mercer Portugal has agreed to acquire Portuguese-based HR consultancy Jason Associates.

Mercer Portugal states that with the acquisition, Jason Associates and Mercer will complement their services and teams to fill gaps in their businesses. “The result will be the provision of a unique offer to customers by bringing together the best of these two consultancies,” Mercer Portugal announced in a statement.

Jason Associates operates in the field of communication, change and transformation, talent management, technology and gamification in the Human Resources area. The company also has a recruitment business that was not included in the deal. The recruitment business will continue autonomously, keeping the same team, but with a new brand.

“The integration of Jason Associates at Mercer is aligned with the growing need of our customers seeking more complete and integrated solutions that address their increasingly complex issues,” Diogo Alarcão, CEO of Mercer Portugal, said. “For this reason, in the last two years, we have jointly carried out several projects. The success achieved and the relationships that have been created have led to this acquisition and have made it a natural process that will meet the expectations of both parties.”
