21 September 2017

The average Polish employee works 45 hours a week, reports Radio Poland, with data from Work Service and research firm Kantar Millward Brown. Meanwhile, self-employed workers put in up to 55 hours a week on average and workers who make PLN 3,999 (€934) a month,  work on average 50 hours per week. The data also showed that a third of full-time workers on employment contracts work overtime. “Low investment coupled with labour shortages prompts companies to extend their employees’ working time to keep their businesses going,” Andrzej Kubisiak, Head of the Press Office, Work Service, said. “Staffing costs go up, which all of us will feel the effects of in higher product costs.”
