People – Korn Ferry, Hay, Romanian group, Heidrick, Kennedy

Korn Ferry reported that Mark Arian will join the company as CEO of its Hay Group advisory business. Arian was recently partner at Ernst & Young and has held leadership positions at Hewitt Associates, Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson) and AON. Former CEO of the Hay Group, Steve Kaye, will move on at the end of the company’s fiscal year.

In addition, Korn Ferry appointed Mike Distefano to the newly created position of chief operating officer for the Asia Pacific region. Distefano will relocate to Shanghai from Los Angeles and work closely Charles Tseng, president of Asia Pacific. Distefano had served as chief marketing officer and president of the Korn Ferry Institute.

Also, Andrew Huddart, who joined Korn Ferry in December 2016 as president of Global Productized Services will now report to Byrne Mulrooney, CEO of Korn Ferry’s Futurestep business, the company announced.

Florin Godean is the new president of the Romanian Association of Temporary Work Agents. He is taking over the association’s leadership from Cristina Savuica, whose mandate has concluded at the end of last month. Godean is country manager for Adecco Romania, and he began with the company as a sales and marketing director in 2004 before becoming country manager in 2011.

International executive search firm Heidrick and Struggles International Inc. named Ian Johnston as managing partner of culture shaping for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Johnston has been a senior leader of culture shaping in the European region for the past 15 years, serving most recently as partner.

Wayne Redovian has been appointed leader of the technology search practice of Kennedy Executive Search & Consulting, a network of independent executive search firms headquartered in France. Redovian is VP of operations at Integrated People Solutions and has more than 25 years of experience in human resource leadership.
