The Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA) announced the appointment of Chris James as its new Chairperson.  James takes over this position from Graham Fisher who has served as Chair during 2018. In his new role, Chris will support Julia Kermode as chief executive and the FCSA team in continuing its work to protect the UK’s flexible workforce and help FCSA in its mission to drive up standards. Alongside his role as Chair, James is the Head of Accounting Operations at JSA Group, a provider of umbrella company and accountant services to the flexible contractor workforce.

Executive search firm Witt/Kieffer announced the addition of Nathaniel Hook as managing director in the firm’s global Life Sciences practice. Based in London, Hook brings close to 20 years of broad, international executive search experience across the global Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors. Hook will lead Witt/Kieffer's recruiting and consulting efforts for the Life Sciences practice in the U.K., Europe and beyond. He has previously worked at Korn Ferry as a senior client partner.

Stephen Segel has been appointed as CEO of London-based hospitality and events staffing app Rota. Segel has previously held leadership roles in a number of recruitment organisations, including NP Group and Spencer Ogden.
