Openjobmetis full year revenue falls 2.5%, profits edge down

14 March 2024

Revenue for Italy-based recruitment firm Openjobmetis SpA amounted to €748.8 million in the full year 2023, down 2.5% when compared to €768.4 million in 2022.

The group said the decrease compared to the previous year reflects the trend of the Italian general contract work market.

Openjobmetis highlighted revenue increases in its subsidiaries Family Care S.r.l.- Employment Agency and Seltis Hub. Revenue for Family Care S.r.l. recorded an increase of 16% during the full year period. At the same time, Seltis Hub saw an increase of 14%.

On December 2023, French staffing firm Groupe Crit announced the signing of a Memoranda of Understanding to acquire Openjobmetis.

Managing director Rosario Rasizza said, “The positive performance of the subsidiaries Seltis Hub, specialising in recruitment and selection, and Family Care - Employment Agency, specialising in providing caregivers to the elderly, which represent an important added value in the range of services offered by the group, was confirmed.”

“In January 2024, the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Just on Business was completed, which will allow us to strengthen our positioning on the contract work market,” Rasizza said. “In February 2024, the signing of preliminary contracts between Groupe Crit and OJM's (Openjobmetis) main shareholders will propel us into an international dimension, setting new challenges and new goals."

More recently, Openjobmetis announced that firm Groupe Crit finalised the due diligence process regarding its acquisition plans. Looking ahead, based on the results achieved in 2023, the group expects an essentially stable organic performance in 2024.

The acquisition of Just On Business S.p.A. and its subsidiary, completed on 15 January 2024, will also allow for greater penetration into the Italian contract work market, the company added.

Openjobmetis published its results for the full year ended 31 December 2023 yesterday after markets closed.

Openjobmetis shares last traded at €16.20, no change on the day and 0.61% below its 52-week high of €16.30, set on 31 January 2024. The company has a market cap of €216.58 million.
