Number of temporary workers in Poland up 3% in Q2, but turnover falls 13%

The number of temporary workers in Poland increased by 3% in Q2 2023 compared to the same period last year, according to research from Polskie Forum HR, the Polish Human Resources Forum (PFHR).

Further data from Polskie Forum HR showed that turnover of PFHR member companies in the field of temporary work increased by 13% over the year. The estimated value of the temporary work market in Poland in Q2 stood at PLN 1.7 billion (€367.4 million).

Meanwhile, the number of hours worked on a full-time basis decreased by 4% over the same period.

According to estimates from the Forum, the value of HR services provided by member companies of the PFHR stood at PLN 1.66 billion (€358.7 million), up 15% over the previous year. Temporary work made up 60.8% of this turnover, followed by outsourcing (24.9%).

Outsourcing grew by 12% over the year and 6% over the quarter.

In the field of recruitment services, PFHR noted a 15% decrease in the value of the recruitment market for Polish employers year on year. At the same time, there was a 43% decrease in the value of the recruitment market for foreign employers, year on year.

In the field of RPO (recruitment process outsourcing), turnover fell by 6.45% over the year.

Turnover of PFHR member companies in terms of posting workers rose by 15.5% over the year in Q2 2023.
