06 December 2023

The number of freelancers operating in Poland rose by 8.3% to a total of 330,000 in 2023, when compared to 2022, reports The First News, citing research from freelance platform Useme. The research also found that almost half of independent professionals are people aged 26-35 living in large urban centres, and for almost 60% of respondents, freelancing is an additional source of income. “There are currently 330,000 freelance professionals in our market, an increase of 8.3 percent on the previous year," said Natalia Zielinska, head of marketing at Useme. "We forecast that this trend will continue and that the growth rate of this market will remain at a similar level." According to the research, freelancing in Poland is popular among both men and women. Freelancers most often choose to work from home (90% of those surveyed), and working on assignments usually takes them less than four hours a day (48.5%).
