Nétive VMS takes over HR tech firm FlexForceMonkey

07 December 2023

Nétive VMS, a Netherlands-based vendor management and software developer announced it has acquired HR tech firm FlexForceMonkey.

The effective date of the transaction is 21 November 2023. The price was not disclosed.

FlexForceMonkey, based in the Netherlands, describes itself as ‘one cloud platform for linking all your hiring transactions from HR, Purchasing and Finance with your suppliers.’ Its products include a supplier platform for clients and a customer connectivity service for suppliers.

Patrick Tiessen, CEO of Nétive VMS, and Doede van Haperen, CEO (Chief Enthusiasm Officer) of FlexForceMonkey said Nétive VMS and FlexForceMonkey have been in close contact for years.

Tiessen said, “Our complementary strengths in different areas make the merging of our companies feel like a very logical step. We both operate in the same field, namely the flexible staffing industry. At Nétive VMS, we focus mainly on the entire recruitment process and administrative support for the client. FlexForceMonkey, on the other hand, focuses mainly on facilitating the delivery process and targets the supplier. This is a strong ‘win-win situation’ for us, as by combining our expertise, we can now support the entire chain in their further professionalisation and digitisation.”

“We were already taking steps ourselves in developing a new tool, Nétive VMS Connect, for data exchange between our VMS Suite and supplier systems,” Tiessen said. “We wanted to tackle all the digitisation of the flexible supply chain. FlexForceMonkey was already doing this as a specialty. When we talked to Doede, we concluded that we could acquire this new knowledge much faster and better through Doede’s existing expertise than if we did it all ourselves. Together, with our complementary expertise, we can bring these new activities to the market much more effectively.”

“For us, the gain is primarily in the fact that we now have a much broader foundation to realise our mission – making digital collaboration the standard,” van Haperen said. “At FlexForceMonkey, we specialise in replacing all those manual processes with smart connections.”

“We are an integration platform that originated from market demands for suppliers to collaborate with customer onboarding processes,” van Haperen said. “Suppliers often face frustration because customers are mainly focused on internal optimisation, leaving suppliers to figure things out. To solve this problem, we built a platform that all suppliers can use independently of their software, allowing everyone to optimise in their own environment. The platform supports processes and can link various processes together.”

“We complement each other strongly in various areas,” van Haperen said. “Together, we will ensure a solid acceleration of processes and flawless operation.”

In October, Nétive announced Wouter Waaijenberg will be the new CEO with effect from June 2024. Waaijenberg will succeed Tiessen, who, after co-founding Nétive VMS, led the company for twenty years.
