In the fourth quarter of 2017, the Dutch temporary employment sector recorded an increase of 6.4% in turnover when compared to 2016, according to figures from the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics.

The figures also showed that the total number of temporary work hours increased by 8.6% in Q4 2017 compared to the previous year. This increase was seen in both long-term and short-term contracts.

Eurostat figures showed that the unemployment rate in the Netherlands stood at 4.4% in December 2017.
