Netherlands – Staffing growth up in 11th period, reports ABU

According to the Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU), hours worked by temporary workers increased by 6% and turnover grew by 6% in period 11 (weeks 41 to 44) compared to the same period last year.

ABU divides the year into four-week periods reported, with the 10th period the most recently ended. This period had an equal amount of workable days compared to the same period last year, so no correction was applied.

The data from ABU showed that temporary workers in the administrative sector increased 6% in hours worked and turnover grew 4% in comparison to the same period in 2015. Hours in the industrial sector increased by 8% and turnover increased 9% compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the amount of worked hours in the technical sector decreased 3% and turnover increased 4%.
