Netherlands – Online job vacancies up 21% in 2017

The number of job vacancies posted online in the Netherlands grew by 21% in 2017 when compared to 2016, according analysis by Jobfeed, Textkernel's Big Data tool for vacancies.

Jobfeed’s data showed that the number of online vacancies in 2017 peaked just before the summer holidays and at the end of the year. 

Among the regions, South Holland saw the most vacancies with about 20% of the total share.

By sector, Trade recorded the most online vacancies, however the market share of the sector declined by 0.6% compared to 2016.  Among professions, administration and customer service saw the most online job vacancies.

Data from Jobfeed also showed that the number of vacancies that can be filled part-time (32 hours or less) is growing faster than the number of full-time vacancies. The market share for part-time jobs increased by 4.2% to a market share of 40.3% in 2017.
