Netherlands – Covebo Group takes over employment agency Eurojob

25 October 2019

Netherlands-based Covebo Group, part of House of HR, announced that it has acquired Eurojob, a Dutch employment agency.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

According to Covebo, the acquisition strengthens its leading position in the temporary employment market of labour migrants in the logistics and retail industry.

Eurojob, founded in 2000 and based in the Dutch town of Hoofddorp, will retain its brand and identity after the acquisition. The company specialises in temporary workers within the retail, logistics, assembly, metal and food processing sectors.

The group said it will be ‘considerably strengthened’ with the takeover from Covebo Group in the areas of digitisation, and recruitment.

“Eurojob and Covebo expect this step to be an even better employer for their temporary workers, because both parties are now even faster and better able to deploy the expertise on a large scale,” the companies said in a statement.

Ronald van Adrichem will remain CEO of Eurojob.

Van Adrichem commented, “We look forward to this new step. The concept of House of HR really appeals to us in which we can maintain our independence and at the same time exploit the benefits of a group. That way we get a much greater impact. "

Covebo Group employs approximately 8,000 temporary workers every day in the production, logistics, construction and engineering sectors. A third of these are Dutch, the other temporary workers are recruited in other EU countries. Meanwhile, Eurojob specialises in sending out labour migrants from the EU and employs around 1,200 temporary workers every day.

The expected revenue of Eurojob this year is €44 million, with Covebo now expecting the acquisition to lead to a combined revenue of approximately €350 million.

CEO of Covebo Group Henk Buitink commented, “Eurojob also increases Covebo Group's position in the market for large customers, often with in-house services. That makes our group even stronger.”

House of HR, the Belgian staffing firm, is the 7th largest staffing firm in the Netherlands, according to SIA research.
