Netherlands – ABU reports staffing growth

According to the Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU), hours worked by temporary workers increased by 4% and turnover grew by 4% in period 1 (weeks 1-4) compared to the same period last year.

ABU divides the year into four-week periods reported, with the 1st period the most recently ended. This period had an equal amount of workable days compared to the same period last year, so no correction was applied.

Temporary workers in the administrative sector saw a 1% decrease in hours worked and turnover fell by 2% compared to last year. Hours in the industrial sector increased 8% and turnover increased 9% compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the amount of worked hours in the technical sector increased 5% and turnover grew 6%.
