There are more than 35,000 job opportunities offered by staffing firms during this month and December amid the run-up to Christmas, reported Assolavoro, the national association for staffing firms in Italy.

Jobs include those in sales, logistics and hospitality.

In sales, there is a particularly high level of requests for sales assistants, promoters, counter clerks, shelf workers and back-office workers. In the logistics sector, there are opportunities for order pickers, forklift drivers, couriers and delivery drivers.

Meanwhile, opportunities in the hospitality segment include bartenders, cafeteria workers and kitchen workers.

Most of the jobs are on temporary work contracts, Assolavoro reported.
