Majority of workers in France satisfied with their current job

05 January 2024

Nearly three quarters of workers across France (74%) say they are satisfied with their current job, including 30% who say they are ‘completely’ satisfied, according to a survey by Adecco France and the CSA Institute for LinkedIn.

This positive view of their work is based on the responses that they love their job (35%), alongside other aspects relating to working conditions, such as proximity to their home (33%).

When it comes to looking for a new job, these workers are particularly attentive to two priority dimensions: interest in the role itself (44%) and salary (42%).

The survey also found that 44% of workers wish to remain throughout their career within the same company, while 66% plan to change roles in the next five years (including either a new company or an internal move).

The survey polled 1,407 field professionals aged 18 and over including employees, workers and self-employed people, in all sectors combined (industry, construction, construction, transport, logistics, commerce , services and administration), currently employed or having previously worked in this field and who do not work in an office.

The study also separately found that 58% of workers believe that AI could facilitate their daily work, a figure which even rises to 71% for professionals in the construction sector and 63% in the supply chain sector.
