Jobindex job ads higher than pre-pandemic levels in December

07 February 2024

Danish job board Jobindex reported 25,600 new job advertisements were posted online in December. This was higher than the 23,700 new job ads posted in September.

The job board noted that, while December’s new job ads level is considerably lower than at the beginning of 2021, the number of job advertisements posted online is higher than before Covid-19.

“The labour market is thus certainly not in free fall, and there is currently no question of a crisis in the job market, and employment is also continuing to increase. However, companies seem to be adapting to more uncertain economic times,” the company stated.

Jobindex added that there is nothing in its figures that indicate an imminent significant change for employment figures for the Danish jobs market. Recent data from Statistics Denmark showed that employment is on the rise with November showing a monthly increase in overall employment.
