Italian recruitment firm Openjobmetis announced that it has acquired 100% of the capital of Coverclip Srl, a Milan-based company that owns Meritocracy, an online job-matching platform.

Meritocracy describes itself as a platform that “internet platform for the recruitment of professional skills related to innovation and digital world, with the goal of embedding and developing Artificial Intelligence in the current job searches and matching activities.”

Openjobmetis stated that the acquisition is part of an initiative called Innovation path, and was conducted in collaboration with Mind the Bridge, a foundation engaged in activities of support and education for entrepreneurship, in order to increase the innovation of internal processes.

Rosario Rasizza, Openjobmetis CEO, commented on the acquisition, "The development of Industry 4.0, along with the digitisation of businesses, has increased the demand for qualified personnel in this area and we want be ready to manage this phase, but also look beyond, with the support of Mind the Bridge, which is continuing its work for us, to identify new vectors of innovation and diversification.”

The collaboration with Mind the Bridge began in 2016 as a collaboration to search for innovative startups that ‘revolutionise work’.
