Ireland’s Health Service Executive, which provides public healthcare to the country, announced an extension to its recruiting freeze; it will now include additional agency staff and non-consultant hospital doctors (junior doctors), RTÉ News reported. There will be no further recruitment in 2024, except for about 2,000 posts that have already been committed to.
