Irish recruitment firm CPL Resources announced today it had appointed Mark Buckley as the company's chief operating officer and deputy chief executive.

Buckley first joined the company in July 2013 as chief financial officer and he will continue to hold responsibility for the finance function until a new CFO is appointed.

CPL Resources also said that as it starts its next phase of growth, this newly created position gives Buckley responsibility for the performance of CPL's operating divisions.

CPL also today said that it had appointed Colm Long as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect. Long joins the CPL board with more than 20 years' experience working in international companies both in Ireland and the US.
