Balanced regulation can be a key driver of growth for the staffing industry, according to the World Employment Confederation.

Michael Freytag, public affairs manager at the World Employment Confederation, the global body representing the staffing industry, talked about the main drivers of the agency work sector including the economy, image and perception of the sector, and regulation.

Freytag says that the stricter regulation gets for the industry, the more it can act as a barrier to job creation.

The interview with SIA is a follow up to the recent Staffing Executive Regulatory Outlook report by the WEC. The report found that half of the staffing executives surveyed by the WEC believe the situation will remain neutral as they look ahead to 2024.
