Freelance.com Q3 turnover flat, customer requests decline in France

21 November 2023

Freelance.com SA (ALFRE:PAR) reported a drop in customer requests in the third quarter in its French business, while international activity remained slow. Third-quarter turnover at the Paris-based talent platform was roughly flat year over year with turnover of €198.6 million compared to €198.8 million in the year-ago quarter.

Turnover in France rose 5% year over year to €132.6 million. Freelance.com noted its recent acquisition of OpenWork Group was integrated into the company’s operations starting 1 September.

International turnover at Freelance.com fell 9% year over year in the third quarter to €66.0 million. The company noted international results were impacted by the depreciation of the euro against the Swiss franc. However, Freelance.com saw a gradual increase in the number of consultants, which it said could portend growth in 2024.

The company also said its recent acquisitions of OpenWork and STA Groupe will help strengthen its position in the market and help boost growth to be more in line with company expectations.

Share price and market cap

Freelance.com shares closed at €3.30 on 21 November in Paris; they were 4.43% above their 52-week low. The company had a market cap of €202.4 million.
