France – Freelance.com revenue lifted by domestic and international growth

French online staffing group Freelance.com (EPA: ALFRE) reported revenue yesterday of €48.3 million for the second quarter ended 30 June 2018, an increase of 24% when compared to the previous year.

Freelance.com’s second quarter growth is also above its first quarter growth of 17% and is the tenth-consecutive quarter of double-digit growth for the French staffing firm.

For the first half of 2018, Freelance.com achieved consolidated sales of €91.2 million, an increase of 20% when compared to the previous year and in line with its objective of sustained growth in activity.

Freelance.com broke down its H1 figures and reported that in France, the company had a turnover of €66.3 million in the first half of 2018, or 73% of the consolidated total of the group. This was an increase of 21% compared to last year, which was attributed to the growth of Freelance.com’s outsourcing offering, which more than doubled its turnover compared to H1 2017.

Internationally (Germany, Morocco, Singapore, Switzerland), business also grew by 20% in the first half 2018, to reach €24.9 million, which was 27% of total sales. The group highlighted strong growth during the H1 period for Switzerland (19%) and Morocco (22%).

Looking ahead, the group stated that its ambition for 2018 is to continue to achieve sustained revenue growth and double-digit growth, while continuing to improve its results.

In trading yesterday, Freelance.com shares closed at €1.56, up 0.65% on the day. Based on its current share price the company has a market value of €49.97 million.
