France – Assystem revenue rises, reports growth in staffing division

Assystem SA, a France-based engineering and consultancy company, reported consolidated revenue growth of 12.4% to €363 million for the first nine months of 2019. In constant currency, revenue was up 1.1%.

Revenue for the Staffing division amounted to €33.5 million for the first nine months of 2019, up 1.0% year on year, including a 4.6% positive currency effect.

The Staffing division – which operates through the MPH Group – provides specialist consultants to companies in the Oil & Gas and other industrial sectors, primarily in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

In the nine-month period, revenue in the group’s nuclear activities grew by 21.7% and increased by 21.1% on an organic basis. Half of this growth came from business in France and the other half from activity in the United Kingdom and the Middle East (including Turkey).

The group’s Energy Transition & Infrastructure stood at €103.6 million, up 1.5% and 0.8% on an organic basis. and +0.7 %. Assystem said this business’s limited sales growth reflects the selectivity of Assystem’s off-nuclear engineering offerings.

Looking ahead, the group aims to achieve annual revenue of €500 million and an operating margin of at least 6.8%.

Assytem was founded in France and as of 30 September 2019, Assystem employs 5,718 people.

In trading yesterday, Assystem shares closed at €33.15, down 0.15% on the day. Based on its current share price the company has a market value of €523.31 million.
