France – Acquisitions boost Groupe Crit Q1 revenue

French staffing firm Groupe Crit (CEN: FP) reported revenue for the first quarter ending 31 March 2017 of €539 million, an increase of 14.7% (9.4% at constant currency), compared with the same period last year.

Both France and international contributed to Q1 growth. International revenue grew by 26.5% to €141.4 million (4.2% at constant currency).

Groupe Crit’s staffing & recruitment division, which accounted for 84% of total revenue, was up 13.4% to €453.1 million.

Within Groupe Crit’s staffing international operations €121 million, which grew by 19.3% in Q1 2017 (up 5.4% at constant currency) in the growth was up 19% in the US, driven by the latest acquisitions (TeamSoft and EHD, acquired in November 2016 and February 2017 respectively). In constant currency, activity in the zone remained stable. The group posted a revenue of €26 million in Spain, posting an organic growth above 25%.

The Multi-services division recorded a first quarter revenue of €89.7 million, rising by 21.4% (up 6.6% at constant currency), compared to last year. In airport services (75.5% of activity of the division), first-quarter revenue grew by 28% to €67.7 million. This growth is boosted by the activity in France posting Q1 revenue of €47.2 million.

The group states that International airport activity benefits from the integration of Cobalt Ground Solutions which was acquired on 31 December 2016. The integration of this company doubles the contribution of international activity over the period.

Groupe Crit remains confident in its capacity to achieve solid growth in all its activities in 2017, both in France and internationally.

In trading yesterday, Groupe Crit shares closed at €76.91, down 0.47% on the day. Based on its current share price the company has a market value of €865.2 million.
