Uncertainty creates opportunity and has been good to the industry. This was one of the messages delivered in the opening keynote for SIA’s CWS Summit Europe by Dawn McCartney, Vice President of Contingent Workforce Strategies (CWS) Council at SIA.

McCartney highlighted that the uncertainty from the pandemic has brought incredible growth and innovation to the staffing industry, including the growing acceptance of flexible work.

McCartney’s keynote ‘Preparing Your Contingent Workforce Programme for Success in Uncertain Times’, also focused on the ongoing global economic uncertainty including recent events such as the collapse of banks and inflation. McCartney added that demand for talent continues during these uncertain times and the industry, which rebounded from the pandemic and saw organisations move their digital footprint forward during that time, will continue to innovate amid the uncertainty.
