Europe – CW job evolves and supply chains become more complex; CWS Summit to deliver latest info

21 March 2019

The field of contingent workforce management is rapidly evolving as technology, online staffing and legislation progress and change. CW managers have to keep abreast of changing trends while doing their daily jobs.

To help these leaders –in HR, procurement, IT and finance – stay on the cutting edge, Staffing Industry Analysts will hold its 10th annual CWS Summit Europe in London, starting Tuesday next week.

“CW professionals have a wider variety of talent options than they ever had before, and a more complex supply chain than they have in the past,” SIA President Barry Asin said. “There’s a whole array of ways companies are exploring to get the workers they need on board.”

CWS Summit Europe takes place Tuesday and Wednesday. It will feature case studies and real-world solutions for the evolving challenges in managing today's workforce solutions programme.

It’s SIA’s largest and most sophisticated CWS Europe to date with some 500 qualified attendees.

This year’s event features sessions covering future technology and strategy, optimising talent and operations, SIA’s latest research and the best service offerings from industry suppliers.

CWS Summit Europe kicks off with an introductory session and a keynote on “State of the Industry and a Path to the Future” by Peter Reagan, senior director of contingent workforce strategies and research at SIA.

It will feature a number of panels throughout the day as well as facilitated roundtable discussions and networking events. This year’s summit takes place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. It will be followed by the second annual Collaboration in the Gig Economy conference, which will bring all players across the workforce solutions ecosystem in a forum geared towards collaboration and innovation as well as focusing on the latest developments in the gig economy.
