Denmark – JobIndex sells its Swedish operations to Blocket AB

Danish job board Jobindex (JOBNDX: CPH) announced that it has sold its Swedish operations, under the name Jobbsafari to Blocket AB.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close during Q3 2019.

Blocket, founded in 1996, is an online marketplace based in Sweden. The company says its receives 5 million visitors per week.

“For the customers, everything will work completely as they are used to,” Jobindex stated. “They can still buy exactly the same services and services as before. The jobbsafari.se site also continues unchanged, and Jobindex will continue to sell Swedish job ads at jobbsafari.se to its Danish customers.”

“For Jobindex, this means that in the future, the company can concentrate on its Danish activities,” the company stated. “Jobindex will, however, continue to own and operate the Norwegian part of Jobbsafari for the time being.

Jobindex last month announced that it was undertaking a strategic review of the opportunities in the Swedish market, including the opportunities to sell or merge its subsidiary Jobbsafari with other job sites in the Swedish market.
