Czech Republic – Nearly half of workers would like to change jobs, Grafton finds

27 September 2018

Almost half of workers in the Czech Republic want to change jobs, despite more than half of them receiving a raise in the past year, according to survey data from Grafton Recruitment.

A total of 40% of Czech workers want to leave their current job with 33% of them wanting to change jobs within a month.

Jitka Součková, marketing manager for Czech Republic and Slovakia, said that wages were one of the main reasons why workers want to change jobs.

This desire to change jobs comes despite 53% of workers receiving a raise during the past year. However, this contrasts with employee expectations of wage raises.

According to Grafton, 77% of the respondents expect their wage to increase in the next two years and 15% want it to increase by 20% or more.

Czech Republic’s unemployment rate stood at 2.3% in July 2018, the lowest rate in the EU28, according to data from Eurostat.
